Sad note: we are out of the hermit crab business - Too Many Jimmies and Hello Seven both passed away over the last 48 hours. Fortunately, Caitlin is doing ok with this news - it helps that we have a unit on tadpoles coming up. My question is: how long do you keep the tadpoles after they become froggies? Is it kind to send the froggies out into the world as it gets colder? Oh the dilemmas....

So sorry to hear about the hermit crabs; I think we still have 8 or 9. As to the tadpoles, once they become frogs, you should be able to release them, even with the weather turning cooler; I think they just bury themselves in the mud when it gets too cold.
